Carolinas Boxing Hall of Fame Celebrates Inductees for 2022 in Charlotte!

(APRIL 26)  On Friday, April 22nd, the Carolinas Boxing Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony event held at the Sheraton Charlotte Airport, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  The event was a huge success with a sold-out crowd of special guests, attendees and the honorable CBHOF Inductees for 2022.  Due to the Covid issues that plagued many events, the Induction Ceremony that would have taken place in 2020 was postponed until 2022.  The stellar class of inductees included the following: Full Story

image2015 Carolinas Boxing Hall of Famer Larry Frazier Updated biography

(MAR 30) 2015 Carolinas Boxing Hall of Famer Larry Frazier grew up in Hartville, South Carolina and began boxing at an early age.   His interest was sparked in the sport when in 1973, he watched the Joe Frazier vs. George Foreman Heavyweight championship where he saw Frazier get knocked down five times.  He  began to get upset because he shared the same last name as "Joe Frazier".  So, at the tender age of 11 years old, he thought that getting into boxing, he might some day get a chance to fight Foreman and defend the "Frazier" name. At the age of 16, Frazier went on to win the Carolina Golden Gloves at 147 pounds in Charlotte, North Carolina, and at that he time he was very impressed with the Marine Corps boxing team, and decided to follow in their footsteps...Full Story with Photos

Brent Elmore to receive Prestigious Floyd Patterson Lifetime Achievement Award in 202w

(MAR 29) The Carolinas Boxing Hall of Fame is proud to formally announce that Brent Elmore will receive the prestigious Floyd Patterson Lifetime Achievement Award this year in 2022, for his contribution throughout the many years in the sport of boxing.  Elmore began his boxing career in his hometown of Sumter, South Carolina. As a junior Olympic Boxer, he won numerous titles, including, The Carolinas Golden Gloves in Charlotte, as well as the AAU Championships in North and South Carolina.   Elmore represented the Carolinas in several regional AAU and Junior Olympic events. He was also once named "Outstanding Boxer" in both Charlotte and Highpoint competitions.  Full Story

SOUTH CAROLINA - March 24, 2020 - Today we wish to inform all of our friends, family and supporters that after much deliberation, the Carolinas Boxing Hall of Fame Induction Event that was to take place on April 24, 2020, have determined to postpone the highly anticipated event, and we will look to set a date in the near future and will publish the latest news on the new date of the event.   Due to the severity of the Coronavirus Pandemic (COVID-19), our top priority is to protect the health, safety and well being for all of you, our domestic and international boxing family. Slammin' Sammy Horne To be inducted into the Carolinas Boxing Hall of Fame in 2022!

(MAR 19) The Carolinas Boxing Hall of Fame in 2022 has inducted Williamston's Slammin' Sammy Horne among other greats who will be inducted later this year.   Horne will be among other greats nominated this year in 2020, that includes Floyd Patterson, James "Bone Crusher" Smith, Olympian Bernard Taylor, Calvin Brock, World Bantamweight holder Kelvin Seabrooks, National Champion Billy Bridges, Pappy Gault, and more in this year's celebration honoring of these top Inductees.  Billy Stanick of White Rock Boxing said, "Sammy Horne who has been inducted into the Carolina's Boxing Hall Of Fame made the front page of the Journal.
